Material choice is exquisite to achieve the perfect balance of being lightweight and functional. Aluminium has also been used for the fixing system and is co-moulded with the derailleur body, whilst the body itself is constructed from a monolithic technopolymer with carbon fibre. This augments performance as well as allowing the derailleur to reach a waterproofing standard of IP67.
The all-important shifting is incredibly rapid with the motor gear box featuring high over-torque transmission, as well as having a high gear-ratio. This translates to precise and rapid shifting in all conditions, and even when under stress.
A particular highlight of this EPS system is D.T.I.™ technology. This provides the EPS system with information on the positioning of the rear derailleur as well as the selected sprocket. The front derailleur is then finely-adjusted to perfectly align with the chain, keeping you running smoothly and without rubbing on derailleurs.
